The Challenge
Matrixx Solutions was sought out by a global technology company to assess the effectiveness of their business processes to deploy a technology solution in the UK and Azerbaijan. Changes needed to be made to enable the company to scale and rigorously deploy their solution.

Solution delivered by our Consultants

Matrixx Solutions used three experienced consultants to assess the company’s existing business processes. Our team identified several improvements that could be made. These would result in: improved communications between technology, commercial and deployment teams; improved visibility of business and deployment risks; greater understanding of the readiness to deploy in the UK and Azerbaijan; and, improved weekly status reporting.

Our Consultants worked with the Client to select and introduce new tools, including a risk management tool and readiness tracker, across the technology, commercial and deployment teams.  

A key consideration was how best to deploy these new tools to ensure they would be thoroughly embedded across the organisation. Our team worked with the Client’s CEO and senior leaders to understand the organisational culture, and to understand how best to introduce the new toolset. During this time the team also identified what other tools needed to be retired and what changes needed to be made to existing working practices.  

The Matrixx Consultants developed a plan to introduce new ways of working and retire the old ways. They conducted training of senior leaders and their teams, and practically worked with them to change working practices and embed new habits and behaviours. The Client now has an arsenal of tools to help them assess the readiness to deploy their technology globally and to mitigate business and deployment risks. These were used effectively when they deployed their technology solution in the UK and Azerbaijan, and will be used on future global deployments.

Our Client also wanted support to improve their process of generating weekly status reports. Reports were routinely not being completed by teams, there were lots of inconsistencies in what was being reported, and the overall time to generate a consolidated report, from start to finish, was very slow.  

The Matrixx team worked with our Client to standardise reports, set up triggers to start the reporting cycle, and embed new habits into team members to complete the reports.  

The outcome was a great success: there was a reduction of 94% in the time taken to generate the reports and the quality of them significantly improved. We received positive comments back from the Client’s teams, as the weekly reports became accessible to everyone from across the company: “It’s actually useful to know what the other team has been working on!”, “I don’t need to hunt through my emails anymore to remember what we did”, “From a marketing perspective, I can take the information directly from the weekly report and generate relevant content for social media, rather than having to speak to each team leader”.
